I <br /> � POST AT FACILITY LtIVED <br /> h�AN .4 8 r02 � <br /> SPILL RESPONSE PLAN <br /> LNVIRONMENTAL HEALTH <br /> FOR MAJOR RELEASES : DEPARTMENT <br /> If the release is greater than five ( 5 ) gallons, enters any waterway or <br /> environmental sensitive area , or threatens to leave the site , IMMEDIATELY do the <br /> following . <br /> • Turn off the source of the spill ( i . e . turn of dispensers, turbines , etc . ) . <br /> • Evacuate customers, asking them to leave by foot . <br /> • Call 911 for the Fire Department . <br /> • Evacuate all employees from the premises to their designated Evacuation Area on <br /> Emergency Evacuation Plan Site Map . See red Compliance Binder tab <br /> • At the designated Evacuation Area account for all the employees . <br /> • Station Manager/Supervisor to account for all employees and any known customers at <br /> the designated assemble area . <br /> • Manager or senior employee should remain in the vicinity to provide information to the <br /> Fire Department, etc . <br /> • Manager or senior employee must follow the posted Emergency Response Notification <br /> Procedure for Major Gas Spill and notify the following personnel : <br /> o Facility Management Group <br /> o District Manager <br /> o Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Manager <br /> • IF SAFE TO DO SO, attempt to contain the spill with absorbent material , by preventing the <br /> release from leaving the site or entering a drain . Use Personal Protective Equipment ( PPE ) . <br /> • Record spill on the Spill / Release Log in red Compliance Binder . <br /> FOR MINOR RELEASES : <br /> If the release is less than five ( 5 ) gallons and service station personnel can contain the <br /> release immediately ( and the release does not go off-site, enter any waterway, or contact <br /> bare soils ) immediately do the following : <br /> • Turn off the source of the spill ( i . e . turn off dispensers, turbines, etc . ) . <br /> • Contain with the use of absorbent material , making sure that the release does not leave <br /> the site or enter any drains . <br /> • Clean up the release with the absorbent material . <br /> • Place used absorbent material into an approved and properly identified hazardous waste <br /> drum . <br /> • Record spill on the Spill / Release Log in red Compliance Binder . <br /> Waste Removal : Removal of hazardous waste drums will be scheduled by the Facility Management Department using a <br /> licensed waste hauler to dispose of the material in accordance with all applicable Federal , State, and local regulations . <br /> Updated 01/2019 <br />
