The quality of the effluent flow from the treatment plant is also a concern that the life of the dry wells could be decreased due to the increased suspended solids that are being put into the wells. From the flow data that has been recorded for the treatment plant an average daily flow of 7,167gpd will be used for the design of the package wastewater plant. Based upon the number of units in the mobile park (75 units), the average daily flow per unit is 96 gal/day/unit. To further compare this data with another mobile park, the flow data from West Lane Mobile Park wastewater plant was obtained. The West Lane Mobile Home Park consists of 85 units of which 75 are currently filled with double wide units. Flow data was obtained (Attachment H) from August 1, 2016 thru October 31, 2016 for a total of 585,829 gallons over a period of 92 days. The average daily flow for the park is 6,367 gallons which is 85 gal/day/unit. The plant operator has stated that this flow has been consists since the package plant had been installed. Proposed Package Plant Description The wastewater treatment process to be used for this project will be the "Extended Aeration" type process. The package plant will be provided by Pollution Control Systems, Inc. (PCS). In the PCS system, the sewage is purified by the destruction of the organic compounds by using aeration to oxidize the volatile material into gas, water and sludge. Continued aeration of highly concentrated solids produces additional organisms that break down their own and other dead cell matter into water, carbon dioxide and ash. The resulting effluent is clear and odorless. Generally PCS treatment plants will remove approximately 85% to 90% of the BODS and Suspended Solids. Additional treatment is provided with an anoxic process to reduce nitrogen. Package Plant Equipment Specifications For the purpose of design an average daily flow of 9,OOOgpd will be used. Additional sizing safety factors will be provided for the actual plant size. The following is the equipment specifications for this package plant.
