Sample D-1: Dispenser Island, 4 feet bsg; strong hydrocarbon odor. <br /> Samples were collected from the backhoe bucket by hand packing one clean, 2- by 3-inch brass <br /> sleeve. Upon retrieval,the ends of each brass sleeve were covered with Teflon sheets, capped and <br /> sealed with tape. Sample locations are illustrated on Figure 2. <br /> All samples collectedwere placed in a chilled container and transported under chain-of-custody <br /> procedure to Alpha Analytical Laboratories,Inc. (AAL)in Ukiah,-California. Selected samples were <br /> analyzed for the following: <br />'4a Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) by GCFID/5030. <br /> • Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as.diesel(TPH-d)by EPA Method 8015 modified. <br /> • Volatile aromatics (benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene and xylenes: BTEX) by EPA Method <br /> 8020. — <br /> • Fuel oxygenates, including methyl-tertiary butyl ether(MBTE), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), <br /> ethyl tertiary butyl ether.(ETBE),tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA) and tertiary amyl methyl ether: <br /> (TAME) by EPA Method 8260. <br /> • Total lead, by EPA Method 6010. <br /> Analytical method detection limits are included with the laboratory report (attached). <br /> LABORATORY RESULTS OF SOIL SAMPLES <br />� <br /> Petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in all samples submitted for analysis.'TPH- .Y P Y g was detected <br /> in five samples at concentrations ranging from 7.7 milligram per kilogram(mg/kg; SP1-1)to 21,000 <br /> mg/kg(T2-E).TPH-d was detected at concentrations ranging from 1.1 mg/kg(T3-C)to 6,700 mg/kg <br />
