' Director <br /> The Director of Public Works of the City of Manteca <br /> Industrial Wastewater <br /> All water carried wastes, and wastewater of the City, excluding domestic wastewater, <br /> and shall include all wastewater from any producing, manufacturing, processing, <br /> institutional, commercial, service, agricultural, or other operation These may include <br /> wastes of human origin similar to domestic wastewater <br /> Permittee <br /> The person to whom a permit has been issued pursuant hereto <br /> Person <br /> Any individual, partnership, firm, company, corporation, association, governmental entity <br /> or other legal entity or their legal representatives, agents, or assigns <br /> Pretreatment <br /> The reduction of the amount of pollutants, the elimination of pollutants or the alteration <br /> of the nature of pollutant properties in wastewater to a less harmful state prior to or in <br /> lieu of discharging into the City POTW <br /> Publicly Owned Treatment Works POTW <br /> The City of Manteca wastewater collection, transmission, treatment and disposal <br /> facilities This definition includes any sewers that convey wastewater to the treatment <br /> facility <br /> User <br /> Any person who contributes, causes or permits the contribution of wastewater to the City <br /> POTW. <br /> Additional Definitions <br /> For the purpose of this Article additional terms shall have the meaning indicated by the <br /> 1981 edition "Glossary Water and Wastewater Control Engineering" published jointly <br /> by AWWA, APHA, ASCE, and WPCF <br /> SECTION II Regulations <br /> I21 General Discharge Prohibition <br /> No user shall contribute or cause to be contributed directly or indirectly, any pollutant or <br /> wastewater which will interfere with the operation of the POTW <br /> 2 <br />
