September 19, 2019 <br /> SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> 16475 TIDE ROAD <br /> RIPON,CALIFORNIA <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> Petralogix Engineering, Inc. has been retained by Ms. Jennifer De Jong to conduct a Soil Suitability <br /> Study(SSS) for the property located at 16475 Tide Road, Ripon,San Joaquin County,California. The <br /> site assessor parcel number (APN) is 203-100-17. Proposed development consists of the <br /> addition of a new single-family home on a currently vacant parcel.The Environmental Health <br /> Department has requested the owner to submit a Soil Suitability Study (SSS) to assess <br /> conditions pertaining to the development of the parcel and associated planned septic system. <br /> The purpose of this SSS is to determine whether the soils are suitable for use with a septic system. <br /> The study was conducted in accordance with the requirements of Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San <br /> Joaquin County Development Code. An important element of an SSS consists of conducting <br /> percolation tests to determine if soils meet the required absorption rates, as required by the San <br /> Joaquin County, Public Health Services,and Environmental Health Department(EHD). <br /> In addition to conducting the percolation test,a review of geologic maps,published soil information, <br /> and groundwater information, was utilized to evaluate the suitability of soils for use with a septic <br /> system. <br /> This report has been formatted to correspond with the Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist <br /> of the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD) dated July 14, 2003. <br /> 1.1 Description of Site <br /> The property is located at 16475 Tide Road (APN: 203-100-17), Ripon, County of San Joaquin, <br /> California.The parcel is approximately 0.94 acres of land with no structures.The property is located <br /> in a rural residential neighborhood, with E. French Camp Road adjacent north, Tide Road adjacent <br /> east, and Highway 120 approximately two miles north of the site.
