i
f
4. DESCRIPTION OF WORK TO BE CONDUCTED
The work to be conducted will consist of the following tasks.
Task 1- Health and Safety Plan
Develop a worker.health and safety plan for the soil and potential groundwater
site assessment. Procedures for conducting all work are outlined in the Worker
Health and Safety Plan prepared by Consultant(Appendix 4). Site-specific
information is provided on the cover page of the worker health and safety plan.
All work will be completed in accordance with all regulatory requirements as
defined by the State Water Resources Control Board's LUFT field manual and the
Tri-Regional Water Quality.Control Board Guidelines for Underground Storage
Tank Investigations. (RWQCB, 200 4)
Task 2- Geophysical Clearance Survey
A magnetic and electromagnetic survey of the property will be conducted to
determine the location of all underground facilities at the site such as buried
electrical, power, and sewer lines. The survey will be to assist in determining the
a
best locations to place the soil borings in order to minimize unanticipated dig in of
these facilities by exploratory soil borings. Data will be acquired on a 5 x 5 foot
grid that will be tied to the California State Plane Coordinate System, Zone 4. A
series of individual contour maps will be made at acceptable contour intervals to
determine if any subsurface objects are present that might be a drilling hazard.
This work will he conducted by a licensed professional geophysicist. {
1
I
Main1DTnviraamenta[VlSTESWorkplan%Workplanl l 192007.wpd 17
I
1
i
I
Jd
f
