r
1
All purge water will be placed in USDOT 55 gallon drums, labeled and stored i
pending sampling to determine proper disposaii No disposal will be made
without first notification of and approval by PHSEHD.
Task 5- Laboratory Analysis of Soil and Water Samples
Approximately 8 to 10 soil samples from each soil boring will be submitted for
laboratory analysis. It is estimated that between 24 and 30 soil samples will be y
analyzed. These samples will be submitted to Kiff Analytical for analysis by
USEPA Test Method 8250B for TPH-gas,benzene,toluene, ethylbenzene, and
xylene. TPH-diesel and motor oil will be conducted using USEPA Test Method
8015M and 5030.
i
Petroleum aromatic hydrocarbons(PAH) compounds will be analyzed using a
modified USEPA Test Method 8270 using-SIM Mode by GC/MS so that the
detection limits are no greater than 0.005 mg/kg. It is anticipated that the three
soil samples reported as having the highest concentration of TPH-d will be
analyzed.
CAM 17 metals will be analyzed on any sample with a reported TPH-diesel or
motor oil concentration greater than 1,000 mg/kg.
f
i
i
Groundwater samples will be analyzed using the equivalent test methods for
water. All analytical results will be tabulated.
i
M a in\MEnvirnnmenta111$TE;W arkplanWnrkplan 1 l 192DO?.wpd 21
