Task 6 Sensitive Receptor Survey
A sensitive receptor survey will be conducted to identify all nearby water supply
wells both for domestic and agricultural use. This survey will use the Department
of Water Resources system to identify wells to a radius of 2,000 feet from the site
and a door to door search for wells to a distance of 500 feet from the site.
Task 7- Site Conceptual Model
A site conceptual model will be developed using existing subsurface geological,
chemical, and hydrological data. In addition, information from the sensitive
receptor survey will be included in developing a model of the extent and nature of
the identified petroleum hydrocarbon release and how best to implement any
additional site assessment work required to define missing data points.
Task 8- Problem Assessment Report Preparation
A Problem Assessment Report(PAR)will be prepared that will have
incorporated within it the Site Conceptual Model with all available data. This
report will take all pertinent data and present it in the correct manner to describe
the nature and extent of the soil and groundwater contamination encountered and
recommended follow-up actions. At a minimum the report will include: (1) a
discussion of the site history, (2) a description of the fieldwork conducted at the
site, (3)the analytical laboratory results, (4)a scaled site plan map, (5) drill logs,
(6) an estimation of groundwater contaminant mass, (7)computerized modeling
results showing extent of individual petroleum hydrocarbon constituents of
concern in isoconcentration maps, (8)discussion of local hydrogeologic
conditions, historic groundwater flow direction and gradient, sensitive receptors in
the immediate area, and(9) conclusions and recommendations. If warranted, a
site closure request can then be prepared to submitted to PHSEHD.
M a in\DlEnvironmcnWl5157E\Workplan\Workp[an 11192007_wpd 22
