y 6P <br /> l <br /> 2.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> 2.1 Background and Previous.Investigations <br /> The ST&E site is located at a street address of 2582 Shaw Road and is located outside the city <br /> limits of Stockton. This site is located within the San Joaquin River Basin as depicted on Figure <br /> 1. The site is contained within the Eastern San Joaquin groundwater subbasin(Figure 2). The <br /> Site is located immediately adjacent to the east side of the city of Stockton within the <br /> unincorporated portion of San Joaquin County(Figure 3). A topographic map of the site is <br /> depicted as Figure 3. The site is.located within the Stockton East Water District service area <br /> The ST&E was established in 1908 as a railroad that served the cities of Stockton and Linden, <br /> California. SME is currently identified as a public utility serving twenty five rail customers in <br /> Stockton, California. The ST&E locomotive shop is located at 1282 North Shaw Road and was <br /> constructed in 1973Fi e. ) plans 4 . During the tank removal, contaminated soil <br /> E was observed at the base of the tank excavation, and diesel hydrocarbons were reportedly <br /> detected in soil samples collected from the UST excavation floor(Figure 5). The tank was <br />'E reportedly disposed of at the Erickson, Inc. facility located in Richmond, California. <br /> E <br /> I <br /> In order to support the UST removal and subsequent minor over-excavation to collect bottom <br /> samples at the former UST pit a reported 78 cubic yards of petroleum hydrocarbon contaminated <br /> i <br /> soil was excavated.
