(AES) has prepared this work G
plan in response to correspondence from the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental
Health Division (PHS-EHD), dated August 27, 2001. The scope of work is for performance of a soil
vapor extraction (SVE) and in-situ air sparging (IAS) pilot study, aquifer pumping test, soil treatibility i
study, and a sensitive receptor survey at the referenced site.
As part of the Problem Assessment Report (PAR), AES evaluated fourteen remediation technologies
according to their performance, reliability, and applicability to the site-specific conditions. Three of the
fourteen technologies screened were deemed feasible for remediation of both the impacted soil and
groundwater at the site. These technologies included In-Situ Air Sparging, In-Situ Well Aeration, and
Enhanced Bioremediation. At the conclusion of the proposed pilot testing/treatibility analyses, AES will
prepare a Corrective Action Plan (CAP)including the test data, conclusions, and recommendations for
the most cost effective site remediation technology.
1.0.
