• cn <br /> f��cEs� <br /> IJuly 10, 2001 <br /> I Mr Michael J Infurna, Jr , Senior REHS <br /> San Joaquin County PHS <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> I 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> I RE: 2001 Second Quarterly Monitoring Report <br /> Canteen Facility <br /> 1500 Shaw Road <br /> I Stockton, California <br /> AES Job No.: 145-94009-04 <br /> Dear Mr Infurna <br /> Applied Earth Sciences, Inc (AES) was retained by Compass Group USA, Inc (Compass), to <br /> conduct quarterly groundwater gauging and sampling on the property located at 1500 Shaw <br /> Road in Stockton, California (Site) (Figure 1) This quarterly sampling event was conducted in <br /> order to provide a Quarterly Monitoring Report of the impacted groundwater at the Site, in <br /> Iaccordance with State of California regulations <br /> PROJECT OBJECTIVES <br /> The objectives for the 2001 Second Quarterly Monitoring Report were to assess the <br /> concentrations of hydrocarbons in Site groundwater due to the former presence of underground <br /> storage tanks (USTs) and assess the stability of the groundwater plume The following were <br /> conducted during this quarterly assessment <br /> I9 Gauged each Site monitor well (May 9, 2001) to evaluate the presence or absence of free <br /> product and to measure groundwater elevations Groundwater monitoring wells MW-1, <br /> MW-2, MW-3, MW-3A, MW-3D, MW-4 through MW-13, MW-13A and MW-13B were <br /> gauged <br /> • Purged each Site monitor well by removing a minimum of three well volumes using a <br /> submersible purge pump <br /> • Sampled and analyzed groundwater for <br /> • total petroleum hydrocarbons, gasoline range (TPHg) (method 8015 modified), <br /> • benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) (method 8020), and <br /> 2013 Wells Branch Parkway, Suite 206 - Austin, Texas 78728 - Tel (512) 990-7467 - Fax (512) 990-7399 <br />
