Advanced
GeoE nviro n mental, Inc . -
07 May 2008
AGE-NC Project No. 08-3237
Ms. Margaret Lagorio
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
600 East Main Street
Stockton, California 95202
Subject: Limited Phase II Subsurface Investigation Work Plan
SCHOOL & OAK,LLC PROPERTY
200 South School Street, Lodi, California
Dear Ms. Lagorio:
At the request of Mr. H. Stan Ward, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared the
enclosed Limited Phase II Subsurface Investigation Work Plan for 200 South School Street, Lodi,
California(site). The work is being performed as part of a due diligence for a property transfer. The
location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1; a plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2.
This work plan was prepared as required by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department (EHD) for the procurement of soil boring permits, and is in accordance with
Appendix A-Tri-Regional Recommendations -Reporting prepared by the Central Valley Regional
Water Quality Control Board for the investigation of underground storage tank(UST) sites.
A boring permit application, permit fee,Master File Record Form, a site-specific health and safety
plan, and initial oversight fees are attached.
BACKGROUND
The site is located in a commercial area of downtown Lodi at the southeast corner of South School
Street and West Walnut Street;the site is currently occupied by a single,two-story commercial office
building. Land use surrounding property is generally commercial. The site operated as a gasoline
service station from approximately 1926 until 1959,as identified by Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps,
City of Lodi Community Development Department permits and other historical research sources.
USTs were presumably located on the northwest corner of the subject property. Although it is not
likely that USTs remain at the site, it is possible that subsurface contamination is present from the
operation of USTs, dispensers and/or other service station-related facilities.
837 Shaw Road, Stockton, California 9521
Telephone(209)467-1006 Fax(209)467-1118
