MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM NO. 97-229 - 6 - <br /> J.R. <br /> 6 -J.R. SIMPLOT LATHROP FACILITY <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> the pump intake. Hydrographs of each well shall be prepared quarterly and submitted <br /> annually. <br /> 5. Groundwater samples shall be collected from the point-of-compliance wells, backgroun <br /> wells, and any additional wells added as part of the approved groundwater monitoring <br /> network. Samples shall be collected and analyzed for the Constituents of Concern and <br /> monitoring parameters in accordance with the methods and frequency specified in <br /> Tables 1 through 3. <br /> 6. The monitoring parameters shall be evaluated each reporting period with regard to the <br /> cation/anion balance, and the results shall be graphically presented using a Stiff diagram, a <br /> Piper graph, or a Schueller plot. <br /> 7. As shown on Figure 1, there are currently ten monitoring wells. Wells LP-1 through LP-3 <br /> monitor the shallow vadose zone defined as <_ 10 ft below ground surface (bgs). Wells LP- <br /> 4 through LP-9 and PW-1-48 monitor the intermediate zone, at depths between 10 and <br /> 25 feet bgs. The groundwater monitoring program for the ten monitoring wells, and any <br /> wells installed subsequent to the issuance of this MRP, shall follow the schedule in <br /> Tables 1 through 3. <br /> 8. Prior to construction of any new groundwater monitoring or extraction wells, and prior to <br /> destruction of any groundwater monitoring or extraction well, the Discharger shall submi <br /> plans and specifications to Regional Water Board for review and approval. Once installed, <br /> all new wells shall be added to the monitoring program and shall be sampled and analyzed <br /> according to the schedule below. <br /> TABLE 2.
