The Report was prepared <br /> by ARCADIS US, Inc. (ARCADIS) on behalf of Glenn Springs Holdings, Inc., (GSH) for the <br /> former Occidental Chemical Corporation manufacturing facility (Site). The Site is located at <br /> 16777 South Howland Road in Lathrop, San Joaquin County. <br /> The well installation activities summarized in the Report were recommended in the Well <br /> Installation and Hydraulic Testing Report and Additional Well Installation Report, dated 28 <br /> February, 2012, and the Addendum to the Well Installation and Hydraulic testing Report and <br /> Additional Well Installation Work Plan, dated 13 September, 2012, which was approved by the <br /> Central Valley Water Board staff in a letter, dated 9 November 2012. <br /> The objective of the extraction well installation is to expedite the removal of Site contaminants of <br /> concern (COCs), including 2,3,4,5-tetrahydrothiophene-1,1-dioxide (sulfolane), 1,2-dibromo-3- <br /> chloropropane (DBCP), and ethylene dibromide (EDB) affected groundwater. The newly <br /> installed extraction wells will be connected to the on-site groundwater treatment system to allow <br /> for treatment of groundwater extracted from these new wells. <br /> Initial Well Installation was initiated on 19 December 2012, and was completed on 25 January <br /> 2013. Intermediate extraction wells EW-12A, EW-13, EW-1413, and EW-15B were drilled to a <br /> total depth of approximately 155 feet below ground surface (bgs). Deeper extraction wells EW- <br /> 12B, EW-14B, EW-15B were drilled to a total depth approximately 205 feet bgs. Shallow water <br /> extraction wells EW-10, EW-11, and EW-17 were installed on 29 and 30 January 2013. These <br /> wells were screened from approximately 10 to 40 feet bgs. <br /> KARL E.
