SAN J O A Q I I I N Environmental Health Department <br /> COUNTY— Y AMENDED <br /> 3/6/2019 <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> Fernandez Auto Body&Paint 2226 N Wilson Way, Stockton February 28, 2020 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(4)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> OBSERVATION:The following open hazardous waste storage containers were observed on-site: <br /> -One open box containing used paint booth filters on the North East corner of the shop was found with open flaps. <br /> -One clear plastic bag containing used paint booth filters was found with open end of bag folded over <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: The violation was corrected during the inspection by Arturo Fernandez.Arturo closed the <br /> box flaps and secured with tape.Arturo secured the clear plastic bag with tape. No further action is required to <br /> correct this violation. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: Hazardous waste containers were observed on-site with incomplete labeling. The containers <br /> were: <br /> -one 5 gallon container containing waste acetone was found without a hazardous waste label <br /> -one 55 gallon drum containing water-based paint related waste was found without a hazardous waste label <br /> -one box containing used paint booth filters was found without a hazardous waste label <br /> -one clear plastic bag containing paint booth filters was found without a hazardous waste label <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br /> words"Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition <br /> (contents), accumulation start date <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: The violation was corrected during the inspection by Arturo Fernandez. Hazardous waste <br /> labels were applied on all four hazardous waste containers. No further action is required to correct this violation. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class ll. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> An inspection checklist was provided to the facility operator on the day of inspection.
