rOW CITY OF STOCKTON
ell—
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
=" "4,LL
425 N. EL OORA00 STREET
STOCKTON. CA 95202-1997 RECp VEV
' 19(8
June 14 , 1988
SAN JJ%QU1ti UOUf`Tr
PLANNING DIVISION
Chet Davisson, Director
San Joaquin County Planning Division
1810 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton CA 95205
Attention : Kerry Sullivan
`—APPLICATION REFERRAL #ZR-88-30 : SOUTHEAST CORNER OF
HAMMER LANE AND PERSHING AVENUE
Staff reviewed the zone reclassification pre-application
referral for the southeast corner of Hammer Lane and
Pershing Avenue. It is recommended the following
corrections and comments be included during the final
review process :
1 . The proposed zone reclassification is in conflict
with the City' s General Plan. Therefore the City
could not provide sewer service to these parcels
! for the zone reclassification. Water service
could only be provided if these sites were annexed
to the City.
`Ihe following is recommended if any development is to
occur within the County near the intersection of Hammer
Lane and Pershing Avenue:
1 . Consider frontage improvements on Hammer Lane and
Pershing Avenue which meet minimum city
standards.
2 . Consider dedications of right-of way for a 67 foot
half-section along Hammer Lane and a 42 foot
half-section along Pershing Avenue (widths are based
on the recommendations in the North Stockton
Cumulative Baseline Traffic Study prepared by
Omni-Means , 10/2/87) .
"STOCKTON...CALIFORNIA'S SUNRISE SEAPORT"
