02 May 2005
AGE-NC Project No. 01-082"
Page 2 of
2.2. SITE HYDROGEOLOGIC CONDITION
Based upon ground water monitoring well information obtained from the site (100 feet northwest
of the southern UST area), ground water flow direction is northeasterly to easternly and currently
occurs at a depth of approximately 20 feet bsg within ground water wells. Ground water occurs in
a generally sandy layer extending from approximately 20 feet bsg to 30 feet bsg. Based on cross
sections on file with the EHD, the sedimentary units are thought to be relatively horizontal and
continuous over the area.
3.0. SCOPE OF WORK
The objectives of this investigation are to determine the lateral extent of hydrocarbon-impacted
ground water north and northeast ofthe current monitoring well network and the north and northeast
limits of hydrocarbon-impacted, at the ground Water table and to a depth of 40 feet bsg.
To achieve these objectives,the propose scope of work includes advancing two soil probe borings
to collect soil and grab ground water samples. The proposed scope of work will include the
fallowing tasks:
* Permitting and pre-field work activities;
* Sample and analysis with laboratory reporting,
* Report preparation.
Each of these tasks is described in greater detail"below.
33. PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES
Applicable site assessment;permits will be obtained from the EHD.Any necessary City of Stockton
encroachment permit will be procured.In addition,an update to the health and safety plan presently
on-file will be prepared in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Guidance Manual for
'' Hazardous Waste Site Activities (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health
Administration; U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, 1985). Prior to
mobilization,_the soil probe boring locations=will be Clearly marked and a utility clearance obtained
through Underground Service Alert.
Advanced GeaEnvironmental,Inc.
