GRAB GROUND WATER SAMPLE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS
Grab ground water samples will be collected from three probe borings using a Geoprobe water
sampling assembly. Samples will be collected`into:40-ml volatile organic analysis (VOA) vials,
I-liter amber containers, as appropriate for the requited analyses. Ground water sample collection
procedures are presented in Section 4.1.2.
Groundwater samples will be analyzed by a DHS-ce'rtified laboratory for:
• TPH-g and TPH-d in accordance with EPA Method 8015 Modified,
• BTE X in accordance with EPA Method 8020 or 8260; and
The fuel additives: DIPS, ETRE,MTBE,,TAME, TBA, 1,2-DCA and EDB in accordance
with EPA Method 8260 Modified.
Laboratory reports for groundwater analyses, testing, methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality
control(QA/QC)reports,and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report
with the findings and recommendations.
3.4. REPORT PREPARATION
Upon completion of field work and receipt of I final 4aboratory analysis, a report will be prepared
presenting the findings of the investigation. The report will include a description of the work
performed and results of the sampling and analysis. Conclusions, applicable recommendations,
including the feasibility of soil excavation if necessary, maps and cross-sections will be included in
the report. The report will be in a format acceptable;to the EHD and the CVRWQCB, and will be
reviewed and signed by a California Professional Geo;logist. If hydrocarbon-impacted ground Water
is encountered at the site,a recommendation for theinstallation of ground water monitoring wells
will be included in the report.
4.0. FIELD PROCEDURES
All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE geologist or representative under the supervision
of a California Professional Geologist.
