Acacia Street, N. Aurora Street, E. Flora Street, <br /> &me and N. Grant Street. Bleachers are located on the western side of the track. Storage buildings, a <br /> designated historical building, and a PG&E electrical station are located south of E. Flora Street in the <br /> southeastern quarter; a parking area, road, a sewer screening station, a residence, and a drug-recovery <br /> house are located west of N. Grant Street in the southwestern quarter; a park area with a restroom facility <br /> is located north of E. Flora Street in the northwestern quarter; and several abandoned buildings are <br /> located along the eastern road. <br /> 2.5 CURRENT USES OF THE ADJOINING PROPERTIES <br /> Several institutional buildings are located north of E. Acacia Street and east of N. Aurora Street. Located <br /> to the east and southeast of the site are a vehicle-fueling area for diesel and unleaded gas, a vehicle garage <br /> and maintenance area, a chemical storage area, an emergency generator area, a concrete debris pile, an <br /> overhead utility pole, and an storage area for old electrical switches. Several railroad tracks are located to <br /> the east of this area. <br /> The properties to the south across Park Street, from east to west, consist of an old brick building labeled <br /> Sears, Roebuck, and Company; an apartment building; a telephone/electrical office; and apartment <br /> buildings. The State Department of Motor Vehicles is located on the northwestern corner of Park Street <br /> and American Street. Several state-funded residences are located across N. Stanislaus Street, which gently <br /> trends to the west and is also called E. Poplar Street. A portion of the site park area extends to the west, <br /> north of the residences. <br /> 3.0 USER PROVIDED INFORMATION <br /> 3.1 TITLE RECORDS <br /> No title records were provided by the District. <br /> 3.2 ENVIRONMENTAL LIENS OR ACTIVITY AND USE LIMITATIONS <br /> An environmental lien is a charge, security, or encumbrance upon title to a property to secure the payment <br /> !•' of a cost, damage, debt, obligation, or duty arising out of response actions, cleanup, or other remediation <br /> of hazardous substances or petroleum products upon a property. No evidence of any environmental liens <br /> placed on the site property was revealed in the course of this investigation. <br /> t4- <br /> 3.3 SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE <br /> Condor has been conducting soil and groundwater investigation activities related to two former <br /> underground storage tanks (USTs) in a portion of the study area for the past three years. The UST site is <br /> located at the corner of Flora and Aurora Streets in the California State University Stanislaus (CSUS), <br /> Stockton Muiti-Campus Regional Center. The site is shown in Figure 2, Appendix E. <br /> The site contained three USTs associated with past uses of the site. On July 22, 1998, Henderson <br /> Construction of Stockton, California removed all three USTs and associated product piping and fuel <br /> t..0 dispensers from the site. Results of soil samples collected during the UST removal activities indicated <br /> that soil and potentially groundwater investigation was necessary in association with one of the USTs, <br /> denoted TK-10, a 10,000-gallon capacity tank that formerly contained diesel fuel. Further soil <br /> ,r investigation and subsequent groundwater investigation, as described below, indicated that another site <br /> UST, denoted TK-11, also with a 10,000-gallon capacity but formerly containing gasoline, may have also <br /> 11NA4 <br /> L. i CONDOR <br />
