However, the abandoned in place document indicates that they were
four-450 gallon gasoline USTs. Please clarify or revise page two (copy enclosed).
• Will the four USTs abandoned in place in 1960 remain in the ground or will they be removed?
• The original page two of the claim application showed four USTs removed in 1980(two gasoline, one
diesel and one waste oil). Are these the substances for the USTs removed in 1980 (copy enclosed)?
• Our technical staff must review your file to determine if the release occurred from the USTs
abandoned in place in 1960 or the USTs removed in 1980 and requests that you provide any available
technical documents and/or reports related to both sets of USTs. Please include a copy of the ground
water assessment test results referenced in William Little's fax coversheet dated August 18, 2003
(copy enclosed).
NOTE: Failure to respond to this request within thirty(30) calendar days from the date of this letter may
result in an ineligibility determination of your claim.
If you have any questions, please contact me at(916) 341-5761.
Sincerely,
Barbara Rempel
Claims Review Unit
Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund
Enclosures (3)
California En viron-ment&Protection Ageocv
Z,',,,, Recyc%d Paper
