Box 127 <br /> Richmond , Ca . 94807 <br /> Attn : Mr . W. Bennett <br /> Re : Proposal for Mobil Service Station #10-NP4 <br /> in Tracy - Subsurface Assesment . <br /> Dear Mr . Bennett : <br /> Kaprealian Engineering, Inc . is pleased to submit this proposal <br /> for the site assesment of gasoline contamination as required by <br /> the California' Regional Water Quality Control Board (CRWQCB) . The <br /> proposed scope of work consists of the following tasks : <br /> 1 ) Installation of four (4) wells at the referenced site. The <br /> approximate locations of the wells are shown on the attached <br /> sketch. The wells will be constructed of 2-inch PVC to a depth <br /> of approximately 20 to 45 feet and will be installed according <br /> to State and Local Well Construction ordinance . <br /> 2) One soil sample will be collected from each boring few inches <br /> above the water table. The samples will be analyzed for total <br /> fuel hydrocarbons and BTX . <br /> 3) The wells will be surveyed to obtain elevation control and to j <br /> prepare water table gradient . <br /> i <br /> 4) The wells will be developed and representative groundwater <br /> samples will be taken from each well . Prior to sampling , water <br /> table measurements will be taken and each well will be <br /> monitored for the presence of any petroleum product , sheen or <br /> odor . The water samples will then be analyzed for total <br /> volatile fuel hydrocarbons, Benzene , Toluene and Xylene. <br /> 5) Field reconnaissance of groundwater uses within a half-mile of <br /> the site . <br /> 6) Prepare an& submit a technical report containing the findings <br /> and recommendations. <br />
