For soils that are contami-
nated solely with diesel and/or gasoline that appear to have isolated and
minor areas of very high contamination, the Discharger may institute an
alternative method of testing for ignitability and bioassay at the approval of
the Executive Officer. This testing shall include a minimum of four randomly
selected soil samples, each of which shall be tested for toxicity (bioassay)
and ignitability, as appropriate. Detection limits for analyses shall be as
indicated in the LUFT Manual , Tri-Regional Guidelines for the Investigation
and Remediation of Underground Tank Sites, or as approved by the Executive
Officer.
The results of the above testing shall be reported to the Board m g
w4h the quantity and leeatien of material . in accordance with the
schedule in NONHAZARDOUS SOLID WASTE MONITORING.
SURFACE WATER MONITORING
The Discharger shall establish surface water monitoring stations on Brickyard
Creek above and below the point where runoff from the treatment facility may
enter the stream channel (RI and R2, respectively) .
