MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM -4-
BEN'S TRUCK AND EQUIPMENT, INC. ,
AND ,TERRY ARBINI
SOIL TREATMENT FACILITY
TEHAMA COUNTY
Surface water samples shall be Obtained from both these stations during the
first storm of the rainy season which produces flows in Brickyard
Creek. A maximum of two surface water samples for each 30-day period shall be
obtained during this eyent and biweekly thereafter during significant (one
inch or greater in 24 hours) storm events if there-=i which produce flow in
Brickyard Creek. Samples shall be analyzed for the following constituents:
Parameter/ Report in Repefting
Constituent Station Units of ;-
TPH (Diesel and Gasoline)' R1, R2 ug/l Biweek! °
BTX&E2 R1, R2 µg/l Biweekly'
Total Suspended Solids R1, R2 mg/l Biweekly'
Turbidity R1, R2 NTU Bi-weedy°
Settleable Solids R1, R2 ml/l $iwee!E.y°
Cadmium' R1, R2 mg/l Biweek!y4
Chromium (Total )' R1, R2 mg/l Di weeT °
Lead' R1, R2 mg/l Bfweek4 `
Nickel R1, R2 mg/1weelcy°
Zinc' /4 R1, R2 mg/l B we 4
Oil and GreaseR1, R2 mg/l Wi-week!
' GCFID.
z EPA Method 602.
' Inductively Coupled Argon Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (ICAP)
may be used for analysis of these constituents.
4 Samples are only requ4red when there is flow in Briekyard Gr
Standard Method No. 5520 D or F.
EPA Method .
R2 shall constitute the point of compliance for surface water monitoring.
SHALLOW GROUND WATER DETECTION
The following detection monitoring program shall be implemented at the
facility to determine the status of shallow ground water at the site. The
monitoring network shall consist of a piezometer at each treatment unit. Each
piezometer shall be constructed such that the bottom of the piezometer extends
to at least 10 feet below the bottom of the treatment unit base. Piezometers
shall be inspected monthly for the presence of ground water. If any water is
detected in the piezometer, a sample shall be obtained immediately and
analyzed for the parameters and constituents listed below (methods of analysis
shall be those in SURFACE WATER MONITORING) :
