Alameda Ave. , Ste. 700 <br /> Burbank, CA 91505-4331 <br /> RE: Former Mobil Service IN REPLY REFER TO SITE CODE: 1897-1 <br /> Station No. 10-NP4 <br /> 2375 Tracy Blvd. <br /> Tracy, CA <br /> We have reviewed the April 16 , 1990 Interim Report on - Subsurface <br /> Investigation and Remedial Planning Study prepared by Alton <br /> Geoscience, Inc . for the above referenced site. The report <br /> indicates additional investigative work is necessary to define <br /> the extent of hydrocarbon contamination in the groundwater and <br /> determine the appropriate remedial measures . <br /> We received Alton Geoscience, Inc. ' s Work Plan dated March 6, 1990 . <br /> Subsequent to review of the Work Plan, an inspection by this office <br /> was conducted during monitoring well pump and slug tests at this <br /> site, on March 15 , 1990 . An addendum entitled "Amendment to the <br /> Proposed Scope of Work for Subsurface Investigation and Remedial <br /> Planning Study" was later submitted by Alton Geoscience, Inc. <br /> After review of the Work Plan and Addendum on April 6, 1990, Public <br /> Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) issued <br /> permits #90-814 and #90-815 for two additional monitoring wells . <br /> Inspection of installation of these monitoring wells was conducted <br /> on April 23 , 1990 . Laboratory reports for soil and groundwater <br /> sampling for these monitoring wells have not been received by this <br /> office. Please submit the results as soon as possible. <br /> Additional work is necessary in order to determine the extent <br /> of contamination. A Problem Assessment Report (PAR) Work Plan <br /> should be submitted and the necessary permits are to be secured <br /> from PHS/EHD. A PAR is to be prepared in the format specified in <br /> the Regional Board Staff Recommendations for Initial Evaluation <br /> and Investigation of Underground Tank, Appendix A, pages A-7 <br /> through A-11. Submit a PAR Work Plan by July 1, 1990 and a PAR <br /> by October 1 , 1990. <br /> A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services <br />
