The scope and duration of the monitoring program will be <br /> defined in more detail after completion of Part 1, but at <br /> minimum will include the following tasks . <br /> Task 2 . 1 : Ground Water Monitorina <br /> I <br /> Monitoring of the wells will be performed for a <br /> period of at least nine months (or three <br /> quarters) . Each well will be monitored on a <br /> monthly basis for water level, odor, and free <br /> floating product . <br /> Task 2 . 2 : Ground Water Sampling and Analyskla <br /> Sampling and analysis of ground water will be <br /> performed on a quarterly basis . Water samples <br /> will be analyzed in a state-certified laboratory <br /> for TPH as gasoline with BTEX distinction . Prior <br /> to collection bf samples, each well will be purged <br /> following standard protocol . Purged ground water <br /> will be stored in containers for proper disposal . <br /> Prior to sample collection, each well will be <br /> surveyed with respect to water level and presence <br /> of free floating product . <br /> t Since the last ground water sampling event was <br /> conducted in October 1988, samples will be <br /> collected first from all existing wells and <br /> analyzed for the specific constituents before <br /> initiating any further investigation work. The <br /> results of this sampling round will also be used <br /> as part of the review of available information. <br /> Task 2 . 3 : RQport PreiparatiQn and Submittal <br /> Results of each monthly monitoring event and <br /> quarterly sampling will be submitted in a status <br /> report no later than the fifteenth of the month <br /> following the preceding quarterly sampling event . <br /> The report will also include any proposed <br /> modifications to the subsequent sampling events or <br /> any further investigative work . <br /> SITE SAFETY PLAN <br /> 's <br /> All field procedures and activities related to the conduct of <br /> the site investigation work will be in accordance with the S <br /> site-specific safety plan to be developed for the project . <br /> The site safety plan will be in compliance with applicable <br /> requirements of the California Department of Health Services 1 <br /> and the Federal and State Occupational Safety and Health <br /> Administration (OSHA and Cal-OSHA) . <br /> 7 <br /> 8 <br />
