WifF ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANTS, INC. <br /> HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN <br /> 1.0 HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN <br /> WHF Environmental Consultants, Inc. has adopted the <br /> following health and safety procedures for working <br /> with organic vapors and liquid contaminants <br /> encountered during drilling and excavation of <br /> subsurface soil. The purpose of this program is to <br /> provide health and safety precautions for the initial <br /> and subsequent site visits until the nature and <br /> magnitude of the contaminants have been defined. <br /> 1.1 Work Space <br /> Access to the project site shall be limited to the <br /> site perimeter. In no case shall the site perimeter <br /> be less than 40 feet from the borehole/excavation <br /> location for all non-authorized personnel. <br /> t� <br /> 1-.2 Site Manager <br /> the site manager shall coordinate all activities of <br /> equipment and personnel at the project site. Site <br /> manager responsibilities will include, but are not <br /> limited to the following: <br /> - Limiting access within the site perimeter to <br /> authorized personnel. <br /> - providing written log of on-site activities and <br /> events. <br /> containment of all contaminated soils and water <br /> prior to disposal at appropriate waste disposal. <br /> site. <br /> Notification of regulatory agencies during <br /> emergency procedures as defined in step 3 <br /> below. <br /> Enforcement of site safety precautions. <br /> tfi <br />
