The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for DOLLAR GENERAL#14130 as of May 29, 2020. <br /> Open violations from July 19, 2019 inspection <br /> Violation#405-Failed to manage incompatible wastes in containers properly. <br /> 1. The following bagged waste items were found in a Flammable HW tote (IMG 7533-4): <br /> a.A Kiss Acrylic Kit, containing a container of acrylic liquid and a container of acrylic powder.According to the <br /> product information,the acrylic liquid is flammable and the acrylic powder contains benzoyl peroxide.According to <br /> the DG Poster and Oxidizer HW Guidance, peroxides are classified as Oxidizers. (IMG 7535-6) <br /> 2. The following bagged waste items were found in an Acid HW tote(IMG 7552-3): <br /> a.An open box of Garnier Color Sensation Permanent Hair Color, containing a container of developer and a <br /> container of colorant cream. "Acid"appeared to be written on the outside of the box. On the box's label, hydrogen <br /> peroxide was listed as an ingredient in the developer, and ammonium hydroxide was listed as an ingredient in the <br /> colorant cream.According to the DG Poster and Oxidizer HW Guidance, hydrogen peroxide is classified as an <br /> Oxidizer, and ammonia and hydroxides are classified as Alkaline. (IMG 7554-62) <br /> b.A container of DG Home Lemon Ammonia. However, according to the DG Poster and Alkaline HW <br /> Guidance, ammonia is classified as Alkaline. (IMG 7568-71) <br /> Incompatible wastes shall not be placed in the same container, or in an unwashed container that previously held an <br /> incompatible waste or material. A container holding a hazardous waste that is incompatible with any waste or other <br /> materials transferred or stored nearby in other containers, piles, open tanks, or surface impoundments shall be <br /> separated from the other materials or protected from them by means of a dike, berm,wall, or other device. <br /> Immediately separate the flammable hazardous waste from the oxidizer hazardous waste, and the alkaline <br /> hazardous waste from the acidic hazardous waste, and transfer these incompatible wastes into separate <br /> containers. <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑This violation will be corrected by(date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> Page 4 of 4 <br />
