The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for Gonzalez Auto Repair as of April 22, 2020. <br /> Open violations from January 15, 2020 inspection <br /> Violation#106-Failed to train employees on waste handling and emergency procedures. <br /> OBSERVATION: At the time of inspection, it could not be demonstrated (not necessarily documented)that <br /> employees who handle hazardous waste were properly trained. Guillermo Gonzalez, Owner, stated that neither him <br /> nor the other employees had received hazardous waste training. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business owner must ensure that all employees are thoroughly familiar with proper <br /> waste handling and emergency procedures, relevant to their responsibilities during normal facility operations and <br /> emergencies. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately train the employees. Provide proof of training within 30 days to the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)for employees whose responsibilities include hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑This violation will be corrected by(date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> Violation#110-Failed to keep signed copy of manifests from the designated facility for three years. <br /> OBSERVATION: The business operator could not provide hazardous waste disposal records for the past three <br /> years during the inspection. <br /> No copies of disposal records for 2019 and 2020 for hazardous wastes including used oil, paper oil filters, and used <br /> antifreeze were found on site during the inspection. <br /> No copies of paper oil filter disposal records for 2018 were found on site during the inspection. <br /> All of the disposal records for 2017 for hazardous wastes including used oil and used antifreeze were not found on <br /> site during the inspection. No paper oil filter disposal records were found on site for 2017. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator shall keep a copy of each manifest signed in accordance <br /> with section 66262.23(a)for three years or until the generator receives a signed copy from the designated facility <br /> which received the waste. This signed copy shall be retained as a record for at least three years from the date the <br /> waste was accepted by the initial transporter. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Provide a copy of the missing disposal records for the dates and wastes listed above. <br /> Provide these records and a corrective action statement to the EHD within 30 days. <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑This violation will be corrected by(date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> Page 2 of 8 <br />
