(D&S) has been retained by Hi Hopes Venture to abandon
three groundwater production wells at the property located at 1500 East Vine Street,
Lodi, California. The site is depicted on Exhibit 1 and 2 which are attached to this letter
and referred to in the attached Application for Liq jid West Permit.
We propose to abandon the three wells under on permit but may conduct each of the
abandonments with modified work plans. All work will be completed under existing San
Joaquin County Public Health Services Environm ntal Health Division (PHSEHD)
regulations.
The three wells are depicted on the attached Exhibit 2. The cistern well will be the
initial well to be abandoned. This well has been sounded to a depth of 76 feet deep
below ground surface. Well casing is 14 inches in diameter and is comprised.of 114
inch iron. The upper 26 feet of the well is comprised of a 10 foot diameter concrete
cistern. The bottom of the cistern contained the top of the well casing. No information
is available regarding well completion practice on this well or if casing is present to
total depth. It is quite probable that this well is ov ar 80 years or more old.
