' A®0I INC <br /> i <br /> Soil samples will be collected in accordance with the protocols outlined in Appendix III and <br /> ' transported under chain of custody to a California state certified analytical laboratory It is <br /> anticipated that soil samples will be analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbon as gasoline <br /> ' fuel using USEPA Test Method 8015 (modified) and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and <br /> xylene using USEPA Test Method 8020 <br /> Task 2 3 Excavation Backfill <br /> ' Once it has been determined by the consultant and contractor that the excavation is ready <br /> to be backfilled, permission to conduct the backfill will be requested from PHSEHD The <br /> ' excavation will be backfilled with clean native soil obtained from onsite The backffll <br /> material will be placed in the excavation in accordance with Lodi Department of Public <br /> ' Works specifications or as required by San Joaquin County Department of Public Works <br /> Backfill material will be compacted to approximately 95% of maximum field density or as <br /> in accordance with the potential future project foundation investigation A California <br /> Geotechnical Engineer or Soils Engineer will certify the specifications of the engineered fill <br /> ' Task 2 4 Confirmation Soil Boring <br /> ' in the event that not all hydrocarbon contaminated soil is removed from the excavation a <br /> ' soil boring or borings will be drilled to obtain soil samples that will identify the base of <br /> contamination beneath the former UST site These borings will be placed in locations that <br /> ' are in agreement with PHSEHD staff <br /> 1 <br /> ' 08220090 005 10 <br />
