Our review finds the work plan incomplete based on the following reasons:
1. The report incorporates the design and installation of groundwater monitoring wells, but does not
include a signature page for the professional who is responsible for the design of the monitoring
system. According to Title 27 California Code of Regulations, Division 2, Subdivision 1 (Title 27
CCR) §20415(c)(1),iwhich states, "All monitoring systems shall be designed and certified by a
registered geologist or a registered civil engineer."
Please submit a signature page with the appropriate professional stamp/seal in a subsequent work
plan
2. The work plan does not include a statement that the monitoring wells will be logged by the
appropriate professionals pursuant to Title 27 CCR §20415(c)(2), wluch states, "Boring bogs-
... and shall be logged during drilling under the direct supervision of a person who is a registered
geologist or a registered civil engineer, and who has expertise in stratigraphic well logging. These
logs shall be submitted to the RWQCB upon completion of drilling."
Please include a statement in a subsequent work plan that addresses this requirement.
3. The work plan does not include a statement that the borehole logs will be described in accordance
with Title 27 CCR §20415(e)(2)(A), which states, "Soil shall be described in the geologic log in
accordance with current industry-wide practices [e.g., American Society for Testing and Materials
(AST" Designation "D2488-93 Method for Visual Classification, Standard Practice for
Description and Identification of Soils (I1isual-Manual Procedure)"for field work, with initial
determinationsbacked up by laboratory work under ASTMDesignation "D2487-93 Standard
Classification (ifbb!is for Engineering Purposes (Unified Sbfl Classification System), "available
California Environmental Protection Agency
04 Rec7cted Pnper
ZO ' d ani
LO AL 9ut2d oosnW HSb= Oi 50-£Z-apW
