*nnedy/Jenks Consultants
1
conditions. The graph shows two more sandy loam layers with clay layers in between. The clay
layer above the groundwater table is approximately 29 feet (890 cm) in thickness.
The lower graph shows the cumulative water flux at the surface (lower solid line) and at the
' water table (upper dotted line) for the assumed conditions. The surface flux shows the effect of
annual percolation in March/April of each year followed by zero percolation during the dry
portion of the year. The flux at the water table initially lags the surface flux as a result of different
assumed historic hydraulic loading. The flux at the water tables increases over the first five
years of simulation then, varies in response to the flux differences associated with drainage
from overlying soil layers. After approximately five years, the fluxes are equal and show a
parallel slope.
The initial response of the soil system to increased percolation rates at the surface is decreased
drainage rate. The estimated travel time to groundwater for reclaimed water is based on the
transmissivity and water content of the soil layers. The estimated travel time for water to move
vertically through the different layers to the water table is shown in Table 7. For the conditions
1 assumed, percolated reclaimed water will not reach the water table at 85 feet bgs via vertical
infiltration for approximately 52 years. According to the Conceptual Compliance Plan, Musco will
likely be connected to a municipal treatment plant and/or be providing reclaimed water for
' industrial uses prior to this time.
Reclamation Report, Page 19
' Musco Family Olive Company
g Gsgro,,r dmoyaeWM104 msedNe`,79mpwtstrectamaoan TC wo recLamkro mpw Fzt 8.1204.do
