Invitation For Bid: Hartmann anetness
Site Addresses:
Former Chase Chevrolet Facilities(separate Sites):
• 423 N.Madison 424 N. Van Buren
Stockton,California Stockton,California
Page 10
D. TANK NUMBERS 3, 4, 5 AND 6
Tank Nos. 3, 4, 5 and 6 were
located in a nest north of the Proposed New
northeast comer of the repair Assessment Locations
shop building on the
Madison Street Property. X X X /
The approximate locations 65 WIZMwe
of these tanks have been TANKS 4
shown on Figure 1. Resna 3 ® ' MW10
(formerly WaterWork) have +
performed some assessment MW1 l Mw2 u 9 + +,$+ 2
work on this area since the
late 1980's. Details of this SHOPR ® W
work, and their inferred
plume boundaries are Figure 4. Proposed Soil Sampling and New
indicated on Figure 3. Monitoring Wells Near Tank Nos. . 4, 5 and 6
• These four tanks were reportedly removed in 1986. Three of these tanks are reported to
have been of 2,000 gallons capacity. The fourth tank is reported to have been of 5,000
gallons capacity. Two of the tanks reportedly contained gasoline. The other two tanks
reportedly contained fresh transmission fluid and fresh motor oil respectively. Present
data are not sufficient to ascertain which tank contained what substance, nor the relative
position of each tank in the nest prior to removal.
Comparison of analytical data on Figure 2 for this area with interpretations provided by
Resna on Figure 4 indicate that the groundwater plume boundary probably extends west
of MW2 and is undefined east of MW4. The interpreted soil plume boundary is also
unconfirmed in several directions, notably north east and south.
The initial scope of work for this area calls for installation of three additional monitoring
wells to provide data regarding the western and eastern extents of the groundwater plume,
and two additional CPT soil sampling penetrations to further assess the northern and
eastern extents of the soil plume at this locality.
CPT penetrations for soil sampling are intended to follow the protocol established above,
i.e. target depth of 30' BGS, samples every five feet beginning at 10' BGS (totaling five
samples per penetration). Analytical requirements will be TPHg, TPHmo and USEPA
• 418.1 (for transmission fluid).
