' 10 December 2001 <br /> • AGE NC Project No 95-0143 <br />' Page 8 of 10 <br /> 3 2 3 Extracted Water Sampling Procedures <br /> Approximately 11,150 gallons of purged water were generated during the aquifer ground water <br />' pumping test Following the pumping test, a grab ground water sample was collected from the <br /> 20,000 gallon Baker tank using a new, clean, plastic disposable bailer The sample was transferred <br /> into three 40-m1 EPA-approved VOA vials containing 0 5 ml 18% hydrochloric acid as a sample <br />' preservative <br /> Following sample collection, the preserved sample was logged on a chain.-of-custody form, placed <br /> in a chilled container and transported to MAI for the following analyses <br /> • TPH-g by EPA Method 8015M, and <br /> 9 BTEX and MTBE by EPA Method 8020 <br /> 3 2 4 Extracted Water Analytical Results <br />'• The grab ground water sample contained TPH-g at a concentration of 120,000 fig/l BTEX <br /> compounds were detected in the sample at concentrations of 4,000 gg/I benzene, 26,000 gg/l <br />' toluene, 2,200 4g/l ethylbenzene and 19,000 gg/I xylenes Laboratory results are summarized on <br /> Table 3 The laboratory report (MAI Lab ID 72391) and chain.-of-custody forms are presented in <br /> Appendix L <br /> 3 2 5 Extracted Ground Water Disposal <br /> On 02 August 2001, the ground water extracted during the pumping test was pumped from the <br /> aboveground storage Baker tank into a vacuum truck(supplied by American Valley Waste Oil),the <br /> purged water was transported off-site under a hazardous waste manifest to Industrial Service Oil Co <br /> Inc , a waste treatment facility located in Los Angeles, California Documentation and uniform <br /> hazardous waste manifests for disposal of the pump test extracted water is contained in Appendix M <br /> 4.0.
