i <br /> Quarterly Report - Second Quarter 2003 <br />' Former CHASE CHEVROLET (Van Buren) Facility <br /> 424 North Van Buren Street, Stockton, California <br /> 10, INTRODUCTION <br />' At the request of the City of Stockton,Advanced GeoEnvironrriental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> quarterly report summarizing field activities performed during the second quarter of 2003 at 424 <br /> North Van Buren Street (the site), Stockton, California The scope of work included installation of <br /> an in-situ ozone spraging system, conducting a quarterly ground water monitoring event and <br /> preparation of this report The site setting is illustrated in Figure 1 Structures and monitoring well <br /> locations are illustrated in Figure 2 <br /> Background information was summarized in Corrective Action Plan - December 1996, dated 27 <br /> December 1996 and in Quarterly Report -May 1999, dated 30 July 1999, both prepared by AGE <br /> Historical quarterly monitoring data is included in the tables of this report <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> . Field activities were performed in accordance with guidelines issued by the Central Valley Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) and by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department (EHD) for investigations of underground storage tank (UST) sites and sampling of <br /> ground water monitoring wells, respectively <br /> 21 In-Situ OZONE SPARGE SYSTEM INSTALLATION <br /> Between March and April 2003, 17 ozone sparge wells. ozone distribution piping and an ozone <br /> generator were installed at the sate Operation of the ozone sparge system was initiated in July 2003 <br /> I2 1 1 Ozone Well Installation <br /> In April 2003, 17 soil borings were advanced at the site for installation of ozone sparge wells All <br /> borings were advanced to a depth of 25 feet below surface grade (bsg) utilizing a CME-75 drill rig <br /> equipped with 8-inch diameter hollow-stein augers The drill ng and two-man crew was supplied by <br /> Mitchell Drilling Environmental Corp (XIDE) of Rancho Cordova, California. Auger returns <br /> generated during drilling were stored on-site in 55-gallon DOT-approved drums Boring locations <br /> are shown on Figure 3 <br /> All borings were completed as in-situ ozone sparging wells using pre-manufactured 2-inch by 30-inch <br /> KVA ozone sparge points(defusers) with one-inch diameter schedule 80 FVC blank casing extended <br /> to near the surface Following installation of the well, a filter pack consisting of#2/16 sand was <br /> I <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
