INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of N r Jeffery Setness of Jeff B Setness Professional Law Corp , Advanced <br /> GeoEnvi ronmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this quarterly report summarizing field activities <br /> performed during the second quarter of 2000 at 424 North Van Buren Street, Stockton, California <br /> (Figure 1 - Location Map) The scope of work perfozYned on the site during the quarter included <br /> installation of two soil probe borings, monitoring concentrations of dissolved petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons in ground water on the site, operation and monitormg of the soil vapor extraction <br /> (SVE) and in-situ air sparging (IAS) systems and preparation of this report Structures and <br /> monitoring well locations on the site and adjacent area are illustrated in Figure 2 - Vicinity Map and <br /> Figure 3 -Remediation System Background information was summarized in Corrective Action Plan <br /> - December 1996 and in Quarterly Report - May 1999, both prepared by AGE <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> Field activities were performed in accordance with guidelines established by the Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board - Central Valley Region (RWQCB-CVR) and by the San Joaquin County <br /> Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EFID) for the investigation of <br /> underground storage tank (UST) sites Field procedures for the monitoring of the remediation <br /> system, soil probe boring activity and performance of ground water monitoring and sampling are <br /> described below <br /> 21 PROBE BORING ACTIVITIES <br /> Soil probe bormgsl6B-6 through 16B-7 were advanced utilizing a van-mounted Geoprobe 5400 <br /> equipped with 1125-inch diameter probe rods with an attached 2 15-inch diameter soil sampler, , <br /> using"direct push"technology Soil probe borings were advanced to a depth of 15 feet below surface <br /> grade (bsg) Figure 2 illustrates locations of soil probe borings <br /> 2 1 1 Soil Sample Collection <br /> Discrete soil samples were collected at depths of 6, 10 and 15 feet(bsg) Soil samples were collected <br /> using a Geoprobe soil sampling assembly loaded with four pre-cleaned 1 125-inch by 6-inch brass <br /> sleeves Soil samples were preserved by covering both ends of the brass sleeve with Teflon sheets, <br /> capping, and sealing with tape Each sample sleeve was labeled with soil probe boring location, <br /> depth, time, date and sampler's initials <br /> Advanced GeoEnvv'onmentai,Inc <br />
