/Azsm
GEOMATRIX
RESULTS OF ADDITIONAL SOIL AND GROUNDWATER
INVESTIGATIONS AND REQUEST FOR SITE CLOSURE
Hanson Property
7750 Schulte Road
Tracy, California
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Geomatrix Consultants, Inc. (Geomatrix) has prepared this report summarizing the results of
additional soil and groundwater investigations performed on behalf of Chevron Pipe Line
Company(CPL) at the Hanson Property at 7750 West Schulte Road in Tracy, California.
These additional soil and groundwater assessments were requested verbally of CPL by the San
Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD) on 3
March 1997 and were conducted in accordance with a 12 March 1997 letter/work plan from
CPL to PHS-EHD. These investigations were conducted to evaluate the presence of petroleum
hydrocarbons in the subsurface adjacent to CPL'S former Wait-Mendota-Richmond Pipeline
("Old Valley Pipeline"), located adjacent to the north Hanson Property boundary. Results of
this investigation indicate that soil and shallow groundwater beneath the site have not been
impacted by petroleum hydrocarbons associated with the former Old Valley Pipeline. Based on
the results of this investigation, Geomatrix recommends that the Hanson Property be closed by
PHS-EHD.
1AWPD0CS\4097\ADDLDWB.D0C ES-1
