and total xylenes (collectively known as BTEX) by EPA Method 8020,
fuel oxygenates by EPA Method 8260 and total lead by EPA Method
6010. Each of these "sets" of analyses will cost $395.00. In ASE's
original proposal, two "sets" of these analyses were included in the
cost. Therefore, each additional set, beyond the first two, will cost an
additional $395.00.
In short, the additional costs required to meet the SJCPHS-EHD
requirements are $975.00 plus $395.00 for each required analytical "set"
of analyses beyond the first two analytical "sets." The number of
analytical "sets" required will be dependent on the depth to groundwater
which is an unknown factor. Mr. Michael Infurna of the SJCPHS-EHD stated
to me that he was not sure of the depth to groundwater at the site but that
it could be expected to be encountered at 20 to 25-feet bgs in the site
vicinity. If this was the case, an additional 2 to 3 "sets" of analytical would
be required.
If you would like ASE to proceed with this work with the additional costs
outlined above please sign the attached "Authorization to Proceed" a n d
Aqua Science Engineers will contact the client upon receipt to determine a
firm start date. One copy of this Authorization to Proceed document is to
be signed and returned to Aqua Science Engineers prior to commencement
of work. If the cost of this work is to be split equally between the two
clients, both clients must sign the Authorization. For any other billing
situations, please write the billing instructions on the Authorization form
prior to returning it to ASE.
THIS QUOTATION IS VALID FOR A PERIOD OF THIRTY (30) DAYS FROM
DATE OF THIS LETTER.
