This c:nWac-, incudes a provision far technical support by the <br /> Califcmia Cant-al Vailey Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCS). <br /> PHS/EHD has recently received a letter from the CVRWQCS that provides guidance on how to <br /> analyze for the oxygenated compounds in gasoline until a "deriniuve protocol' can be <br /> established. Based on this letter, PHSlEHD is dir�ting you to analyze samples from all of <br /> your monitoring wells far Tertiary Butyl Alcchcl C-i BA), Methyl Tertiary Butyi Ether(M T SE), Ci- <br /> isopropyl ether (CIPS), Ethyl Tertiary Suryi Ether(E oE) and Tertiary Amyl Methyl Ether <br /> (TAME) by EPA method 8260. PHSiEHD will require analysis of samples for Methanol and <br /> Ethanol where there is reason.to believe that these :ampcunds were stored in the underground <br /> tank(s). <br /> PHS/EHD requires quarterly sampling or all veils where the presence of oxygenates is <br /> c-onfirmed by EPA method 8260. Mcdinceticn of this required sampling such as number of wells <br /> sampled, sampling frequenc/ and methcd of analysis may be granted only after initial sample <br /> results are reviewed by PHSIEHD.
