Communications: All approvals and decisions of <br /> 5 the Department made regarding such submittals and notifications <br /> 6 shall be communicated to Respondent in writing by a Branch Chief, <br /> 7 Department of Toxic Substances Control, or his/her designee. No <br /> 8 informal advice, guidance, suggestions, or comments by the <br /> 9 Department regarding reports, plans, specifications, schedules, <br /> 10 or any other writings by Respondent shall be construed to relieve <br /> 11 Respondent of its obligation to obtain such formal approvals as <br /> 12 may be required. <br /> 13 7.5. Department Revigw and Approval: If the <br /> 14 Department determines that any report, plan, schedule, or other <br /> 15 document submitted for approval pursuant to this Order fails to <br /> 16 comply with the Order or fails to protect public health or safety <br /> 17 or the environment, the Department may: <br /> 18 a. Modify the document as deemed necessary and approve <br /> 19 the document as modified; or <br /> 20 b. Return the document to Respondent with recommended <br /> 21 changes and a date by which Respondent must submit to the <br /> 22 Department a revised document incorporating the recommended <br /> 23 changes. <br /> 24 7.6.
