Non -Routine Task Training
Immediately prior to assigning employees to non -routine task, the Supervisor
responsible for the work assignment will discuss the following with each employee:
Identify the hazardous materials that will be present during the non -routine task
work assignment and discuss the following issues for each product:
• First aid treatment
• Use of personal protective equipment
• Emergency procedures
• Safe storage practices
• Means to detect the presence of hazardous materials that may be present in
the environment/department.
Training Comprehension
Training comprehension will be determined by two methods, the first being an
evaluation of the container labeling compliance and the second will be the semi-
annual SMP audit protocol. For the issue of container labeling, as long as all
containers with hazardous materials are labeled correctly this item will be considered
adequately understood. This will be verified during the monthly facility safety
inspection. The SMP audit protocol for this program will be completed semi-annual
and all issues outlined in the protocol must be "complete". If either issue does not
meet standards, then retraining will be conducted with all employees.
The following records will be maintained by the facility:
1) The written Hazardous Chemical Safety Program
2) MSDS master list
3) MSDS binder
4) MSDS obsolete file
5) Employee training file
- Baru+-sraourc.-
