F%rf% Service mrt So Meeh More <br />2. Utilize the contents of the spill kit (See Figure 1 for photo and contents). Place <br />the socks around the perimeter of the spill to prevent it from spreading and use <br />corncob absorbent on the spilled material. <br />3. Contact the Environmental Department to alert them of the spill. You may or <br />may not need the help of outside emergency response contractors at this time. <br />This decision will be made by the Environmental Department. <br />4. Continue to use absorbent to saturate the spill. Shop -use additional <br />absorbent from the retail section. If the Environmental Department has <br />elected to dispatch outside contractors, continue to monitor and saturate the <br />spilled liquid until the contractors arrive. <br />5. Collect the spent absorbent and place in the spill kit. Should you require <br />additional storage drums, they will be provided through either the emergency <br />response contractors or from local companies via the Environmental <br />Department. <br />6. Complete the Spill Report Form and place with this plan. <br />Any size spill in which the liquid enters any type of drain (i.e. storm drain) <br />1. Determine the source of the release and attempt to prevent any additional <br />materials from escaping. <br />2. Contact Pep Boys Environmental Department and alert them of the situation. <br />They will dispatch an emergency response contractor to access the damage <br />and pump out any necessary drainage areas. Place booms down by the drains <br />to prevent any additional liquid from entering the drain. <br />3. Place absorbent on the liquid and await the outside contractors. <br />4. Once the emergency response contractors arrive, they will takeover all <br />cleanup activities. <br />5.
