Determine the source of the release and attempt to prevent any additional <br />materials from escaping. <br />Q ; 2. Utilize the contents of the spill kit (See Figure 1 for photo and contents). <br />Place the socks around the perimeter of the spill to prevent it from <br />spreading. Spread corncob absorbent on the spilled material. If additional <br />absorbent is required, shop -use extra absorbent from the retain section. <br />3. Collect the saturated absorbent and place it inside the spill kit. <br />4. Contact Pep Boys' Environmental Department to discuss spill and arrange <br />for disposal of the kit, and also arrange to have a replacement kit sent out. <br />5. Complete the Spill Report Form and place with this plan. <br />Figure 1 — Spill Kit <br />Contents include: <br />> Chemical Resistant Gloves <br />> 3" X 4" Sock Booms <br />> Corncob Absorbent <br />> Acid Neutralizer <br />> Trash Bags <br />Larger Spills (typically over 5 gallons), which have not entered any type of drain <br />1.
