Records available do not indicate hazardous waste training has been conducted for every employee in the last year. According to the training records on site, the shop mechanics were last trained on June 29, 2012. The hazardous waste training program shall be completed by each employee within six months of hire, prior to unsupervised work, and shall be reviewed at least annually. Immediately provide current training as necessary for each employee and ensure that employees receive this training annually. Submit a copy of the updated training records to the EHD by December 18, 2013. 117. The training records on site were incomplete. The training records for clerical and management only include a record that each employee was trained. They do not include a description of the training to be given to each employee, job titles, or written job descriptions. Facility personnel shall complete a training program that teaches them to perform their duties in a way that ensures the facility's compliance with Title 22 regulations. This program shall be directed by a person trained in hazardous waste management procedures. The training program shall be completed by each employee within six months of hire, prior to unsupervised work, and shall be reviewed annually. Training records shall be maintained on site until closure of the facility and shall include: - name &job title of each employee - written job description for each position (job title) listed, including requisite skill, education, qualifications, and duties - description of training to be given to each position - records that training was completed for each employee Immediately update the training records to contain all of the required information and ensure that all employees complete this training within six months of hire and at least annually thereafter. Submit a copy of the updated training program and records to the EHD by December 18, 2013. REPEAT VIOLATION 211. According to Mr. Garth Williams, aerosol cans, including spray paint cans, are crushed in the oil filter crusher and all liquids from the cans are placed in with the used oil. No person who generates, stores, or transfers used oil shall intentionally contaminate used oil with other hazardous waste. Immediately stop disposal of aerosol can wastes with the used oil. ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE.
