Failed to determine if waste is a hazardous waste. <br />-In truck wash bay, there are two approximately 20 gallon open metal drums, one blue and one brown <br />leaky drum, of oily sludge. Truck wash bay utilities assorted chemicals and detergents to clean exterior <br />trucks and trailers and interior engines. They use a mixture of approximately 5 gallons of aluminum <br />brighter for every 50 gallons of water to clean exterior trailers. Per truck wash employee, the drums <br />contain contents recently removed the morning of the inspection from the floor trenches. There are no <br />labeling of any sorts on the drum to identify contents and whether it is hazardous. Per AES hauler, <br />Tracy Poole, he picks up liquid only: used oil and used antifreeze. His counterpart, Oscar, picks up <br />solids only: waste absorbent, drained used oil filters. <br />No disposal receipts can be found for this type of waste and it is unclear if the hazardous waste hauler is <br />picking up the truck wash sludge. <br />-In truck wash bay, there is a 55 gallon poly blue open drum of oily debris, dark ashes, broken wooden <br />pallet debris, along with waste food. It is unclear where the contents were removed from. <br />-In a 55 gallon open black metal drum located outside in front of the used oil change bay, there is dark <br />liquid that appears to be used oil along with trash. <br />-In a 20 gallon open blue metal drum and an open 5 gallon bucket located at the rear of the used oil - <br />change bay, there is dark green liquid that does not have a label to identify the contents. <br />-In a 55 gallon open black metal drum located outside in front of the used oil change bay, there are two <br />corn oil containers that appears at one point was used stored used oil. Inside both container are dark <br />black oily residues. <br />-In the Garbage Only, Non -Hazardous Waste, dumpster located at the rear of the truck wash bay, are <br />several waste items that are likely to be hazardous: Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer with a cup of oil, an <br />low VOC brake cleaner aerosol can not completely empty, an oily red rag, and an oily contaminated <br />rubber engine hose. <br />Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately stop <br />improperly disposing any oily -contaminated waste or unidentified substances, make a hazardous waste <br />determination for the above listed items, and manage it according the Title 22 hazardous waste <br />regulations.
