One unlabeled, open, 10 gallon container full of oil filters were observed at the northeast side of <br />the service area. Used oil filters must be stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as "drained <br />used oil filters," and marked with an accumulation start date. Immediately place the oil filters in a <br />closed, labeled container and ensure that all used oil filters are managed in this way. <br />808, 809. Two unlabeled, waste, computer units were observed near the oil filter drums. Label the <br />computer units "universal waste - electronic devices" and recycle as universal waste. Send a copy of <br />the recycling receipt to the EHD by December 20, 2013. <br />Notes <br />1. Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form with a statement of how <br />each violation was corrected, including supporting documentation; by December 20, 2013. <br />2. The facility has two new parts washer units with oil skimmers. The oil is placed in the used oil tank. <br />The aqueous and solid portion of the waste from the parts washers has not been removed from the unit <br />yet. Handle the aqueous and solid portion of the parts washer waste as hazardous waste or make a <br />hazardous waste determination. Document the hazardous waste determination in the facility records for <br />review by EHD inspectors. <br />3. Go to cers.calepa.ca.gov to enter hazardous material and tank information into the new state <br />database: California Environmental Reporting System. Create an account and enter the facility <br />information.
