5. Section 66265.34, Title 22, CCR: DPI had no alarm available in the plating area to <br /> notify anyone of a pending emergency. <br /> 6. Section 66265.173, Title 22, CCR: DPI was storing hazardous waste in containers <br /> without proper lids. This is a repeat violation. <br /> H. SCHEDULE OF CO ONS: <br /> Violation #1: Effective immediately, DPI shall analyze floor sweepings to determine <br /> if sweepings contain hazardous constituents. <br /> Violation #2: Effective immediately, DPI shall provide employees with proper <br /> hazardous waste training and document their training in their employee <br /> files. <br /> Violation #3: Effective immediately, DPI shall maintain appropriate equipment <br /> adequate to handle an emergency. <br /> Violation #4: Effective immediately, DPI shall provide clean, ready for use <br /> emergency equipment. <br /> Violation #5: Effective immediately, DPI shall provide an alarm/communication <br /> system that will be immediately available at the scene of the hazardous <br /> waste operation. <br /> Violation 6: Effective immediately, DPI shall provide an appropriately labelled <br /> container for filter cake waste. <br /> When all violations have been corrected, please send written certification to this office at the <br /> letterhead address. This certification shall contain the sample certification statement <br /> indicated on Attachment I. <br /> PHS-EHD may conduct a follow-up inspection at the facility to verify compliance. <br /> The issuance of this report of violation and schedule of correction does not preclude PHS- <br /> EHD from taking any administrative, civil, or criminal action as a result of the violations <br /> noted herein. <br /> 2 <br />
