0 0 <br /> The newly discovered tank was full of water and it was decided at that <br /> time that both the 1,000 gallon gasoline, and diesel tanks would be <br /> removed the following day <br /> RMC Lonestar conducted removal of residual products from the diesel, <br /> waste oil, and gasoline tanks prior to January 23, the day of tank removal <br /> activities. The newly discovered tank's residual contents were to be <br /> vacuumed out by Evergreen Environmental Services the following day, <br /> January 24, prior to tank removal. A copy of the Hazardous Waste <br /> Manifest Document Number 95334472 & 95334474 are presented in <br /> Appendix B. <br /> On January 23, the 10,000 gallon diesel and 550 gallon waste oil tanks <br /> were inerted with dry ice until the Lower Explosive Limit (LEL) and oxygen <br /> content reached acceptable levels. The tanks were then removed and <br /> placed on the ground for cleaning and inspection. Some staining of soil <br /> was present on the West end of the 10,000 gallon diesel tank and there <br /> was no staining visible on the East end. Some staining was present above <br /> and below the 550 gallon waste oil tank. <br /> The two tanks were loaded onto a H & H Shipping &Transportation, Inc. <br /> truck and transported under hazardous waste manifest to their facility in <br /> San Francisco, CA where the tanks were recycled as scrap metal. The <br /> transport and disposal documents for the tanks are presented in Appendix <br /> B. <br /> On January 24, 1996 the 1,000 gallon gasoline and 1,000 gallon diesel <br /> tanks were inerted with dry ice until the Lower Explosive Limit (LEL) and <br /> oxygen content reached acceptable levels. The tanks were then <br /> removed and placed on the ground for cleaning and inspection.There <br /> was no apparent odor or staining encountered in the soil around the two <br /> tanks. <br /> The two tanks were loaded onto an Erickson Environmental Services, Inc. <br /> truck and transported under hazardous waste manifest to the Erickson <br /> disposal facility in Richmond, CA where the tanks were recycled as scrap <br /> metal. The transport and disposal documents for the tanks are located in <br /> Appendix B. <br /> 4.0 SAMPLING AND ANALYSES <br /> All soil samples were collected under the direction of an inspector from <br /> 2 <br />
