Wherever the term Commission or Department occurs, it shall mean <br />the Government. Whenever the term Director or Executive Officer <br />occurs, it shall mean the Contracting Officer. <br />b. Whenever the term Engineer occurs, it shall mean the Contracting <br />Officer. <br />c. All references to statistical testing are deleted. <br />d. Whenever a discrepancy occurs between the Standard Specifications <br />and this specification, it is understood that this specification <br />governs. <br />e. All references to measurement and payment are deleted. <br />1.3 SUBMITTALS: <br />1.3.1 General Preparation of mix design, sampling and test materials <br />and equipment for compliance with the specifications. Properly mark samples <br />to show the name of the material, name of the supplier, contract number and <br />the segment of the work where the material represented by the sample is to be <br />used. Submit results of all individual tests daily or each time materials are <br />placed and tested. Perform tests on asphalt content of pavement mixture and <br />in-place density tests of base course using an approved testing laboratory. <br />Sampling and test methods shall be in accordance with procedures of the <br />applicable publications and the State Materials Manual. If material supplied <br />from a commercial pug mill or mixing plant has been sampled and tested by an <br />independent engineering testing laboratory during the last 6 months from the <br />time of the contract award, certified copies of tests specified herein for <br />the material being furnished may be submitted in lieu of the specified <br />conformance tests. Submit copies of weighmaster's certificates or certified <br />delivery tickets for each truck load of material. <br />
