This could take weeks or possibly months and could
allow a good deal of contamination in the soil before the leak
is detected.
RMC Lonestar proposes to install three vadose well points
strategically located within the two underground tanks'
backfill. The well points would be driven two feet below the
bottom of the tanks. By installing the vadose well points
around the tanks' backfill, any release from these tanks or
surface spills would be detected before the ground water is
affected and only minimal soil cleanup may be required.
We therefore ask that this request be given approval by your
agency in order that implementation of this program may begin.
Should you have any questions concerning this matter or should
you require any additional information, please contact me at
(415) 426-2279.
S,ncerely ,
Bradd Stat y
Environmental Engineer
cc: Jaime Favila, San Joaquin LHD f,
William Snatie"ly, SarJoaquin T,H
D
